Eramuslim – The #2 President Candidate, Prabowo Subianto, attended the Indonesian Islamic Da’wah Institution (LDII) National Work Meeting (Rakenas) in Pondok Gede, East Jakarta.
In his greeting speech, he stated that, right now Indonesia are facing a big trial and challenge, which is betrayal from the top nation’s elite.
“There’s a betrayal. That did by our elites. They don’t care about the people’s concerns and needs, but only his group, family and himself,” Prabowo said.
Not just that, in front of LDII audience, he also reminded that, Indonesia still lives below the debt. This is the thinf that he is very concern about, as Indonesia is the sixth top rich country, but, the people inside it, living in poverty.
“We are poor as a nation, a loss nation. A nation that lives below the debt. Sadly, our elites are already used to live below the debt and they’re fine with it,”.
Moreover, he also highlighted the rupiah rate that keeps dropping down against the American Dollar. Prabowo said, the weakening of the rupiah rate that keeps on getting worse, shows that this nation is getting poorer.
“If a dollar equals to Rp 10.000 5 years ago, this year 15.000, it means that we got a half poorer than before,” he said. (15)
