Eramuslim – Minister of Research, Technology and High Eduacation (Menristek Dikti), Mohammad Nasir stated that university become a prohibited place for President Candidate and Vice President Candidate to do a politic activity.
He won’t be hesitate to call the rector if the university is being politicized for politic urgency in this upcoming 2019 election.
“A Campus is not allowed to get politicized. If there’s any, I forbid. Call the rector,” Nasir said.
When he was mentioned about Jokowi’s arrival at North Sumatera University (USU) several days ago, the former Diponegoro University Rector said that It was a capacity as a President.
“Jokowi as a president, he may go anywhere. A President couldn’t stop even for a day. Is he stops, this nation will be in trouble,” he explained.
What if Prabowo Subianto come to a campus, not in a President Candidate status, but as a President of Gerindra? Nasir said, it’s not allowed either.
“It’s not allowed, it’s politic. If a President come to a campus, it’s his right, but not as a President Candidate,” he affirmed. (15)
